The Difference between Clairvoyance & Mediumship

There is quite a significant difference linking clairvoyance and mediumship, although they both belong to the involvement of the parapsychology, they evoke diverse scope of participation or association. For clairvoyance refers to the capacity of obtaining knowledge about a thing, individual, site or a concrete occurrence or incident beyond normal human perception. And, mediumship is asserted capacity of an individual (the medium) to gain knowledge by interacting with souls, apparitions, angels, demons, and other unknown forces or beings.

These two concepts bring about the science of the paranormal. Paranormal is a basic term related to the knowledge that represents beyond the scope of the normal biosphere or scientific justification or that signifies incidences that are considered to be beyond the stratosphere of science. Paranormal occurrences are different from various imaginary forces, entities or creatures. It further explains that the scientific explanation of this planet and everything around us- is the “normal” segment of our hemisphere. The whole hypothesis of paranormal beliefs encompasses unknown spirits, creatures, energies (good or bad), spiritual and other unknown presence, extraterrestrial creatures, angels, demons and other spiritual apparitions, images and visions.

Mediumship is the manner of communication facilitated by mediums who act as “channels”, tunnels or bridges in interacting and connecting two different worlds by conveying messages from the “beyond” to this planet. Mediumship exceeds the boundaries of the “normal” hemisphere. It goes beyond any scientific dimension. Channeling or conveying messages from the spirits, ghost, demons, angels, ghouls, apparitions, and other bad or good energies cannot be explain by mere science. It went out the boundaries of pure human perception, thus making it more phenomenal, exceptional and if not magical.

Parapsychology covers the paranormal and the psychic characteristics and features of a gifted person. His ability to perform any parapsychology qualities is not acceptable within the norms and principles of science. Within the impression of parapsychology, clairvoyance is extensively being considered in the conveyance of knowledge that is traditional in nature. It is a variation from telepathy wherein concrete sources are achieved straight from the outside forces and being transmitted from one mind of an individual to another. Several parapsychologists have recommended that there are three basic- functional classes of clairvoyance, and they are namely: ESP (extra-sensory perception), divination, and forecasting. In clairvoyance, ESP (extra-sensory perception) refers when a person perceives something beyond the ordinary, which he/she can perceive things that are not normally felt, smelled, seen, tasted, or heard by an ordinary individual.

Forecasting is the method of giving assertion about certain events which have not happened yet, but soon to take place. Fortune telling is the procedure of foreseeing certain events, incidents and occurrences in an individual’s life through commercial means. The difference between clairvoyance and mediumship is distinctive in manner as clairvoyance only centers with divination, forecasting, foreseeing, and the exercise of ESP (extra-sensory perception). Mediumship is the channeling, decoding and transmitting of messages from the “other world” to our world. With these notions you can be guided that these are two totally different views in functions as well as in applications.

Find Out If The Afterlife To Be Believed?

An important concept of many belief systems around the world, the afterlife is certainly an attractive prospect. None of us want to simply accept that the physical death of our bodies will mean the end of our existence. The question whether there really is a life after death has been, and still is, debated hotly whenever the subject is raised. So should we believe in it or not? The fact is, that many people were brought "back" to life through advanced medical technology after having been declared clinically - and on some occasions believed to be irretrievably - dead. Often these people, rescued from the edge of death, return to life with reports of things or people - usually loved ones who died long before them - they have seen while dead. Others returned and spoke of events about to happen or places to be visited in the future, and were later proven correct when the event or visit foretold actually became reality.

Mediums, enjoying a vastly increasing popularity, give individuals the opportunity to talk to deceased loved ones. Frequently these communications include facts or statements even the individual is unaware of, or a secret piece of information only the deceased and the living individual seeking contact share knowledge of, thus indicating the spirits identity. As a rule, these things couldn't possibly be known by the medium through any other means than actual contact with a spirit residing in the realm of the afterlife. Many confess to having experiences involving "ghostly" appearances. A friend of mine, for instance, decided to spend a while in a rented holiday cottage to clear her mind after having some serious personal problems. On moving in, she was unaware that this cottage was supposedly haunted and thus had no expectations of any unexplained happenings.

She awoke in the middle of the night feeling exceptionally cold and experiencing a sensation of severe pressure on her chest. As she turned to try and relieve the pressure, she saw a Lady dressed in Victorian style clothing standing at the end of her bed. Although this Lady didn't actually do or say anything, the extreme anger and aggression emanating from her so frightened my friend that she moved back home the next morning. (I hasten to add that not all experiences are necessarily frightening or threatening!) On researching the house later, we did find out that a Lady had indeed died of a severe heart attack in that particular room; however, we found nothing to suggest possible causes of this or the anger felt in her presence. As it stands, I personally am a believer, simply because I have had many experiences, which - in my opinion - confirm that there is more to come after our physical life ends. However, every individual will have to look at various reports, opinions, facts or perhaps personal experiences with an open mind and make their own, personal decision as to whether to believe in the existence of an afterlife or not.

How A Psychic Reading Is Performed

Before a psychic reading begins, the reader will talk informally to the person seeking advice in order to create a connection and gain the individual's trust. He or she will ask for the individual's name and date/ time of birth and enquire regarding the situation in question. In order to get an accurate answer, it is imperative that all the relevant information is related truthfully and openly. It should also be noted here that fear (which is wholly unnecessary in any case), intent to simply test the psychic, anger or other negative emotions directed at the psychic may erect barriers making it impossible for him/ her to tune into the individual/ situation and create an accurate reading. If the situation revolves around a relationship, they may also ask for the partner's/ potential partner's name and date/ time of birth. The reader will then begin using one (or more, but as a rule they tend to use one at a time) of a variety of methods in combination with their gift and/ or intuition.

For a tarot card reading, the reader will then choose a certain number of cards (or, in a face to face session, may ask the individual seeking advice to choose them) to form a spread. The type of spread used will determine the number of cards required. He/ she will then proceed to analyse the cards with regards to the person, their past, the present situation and the direction the situation is heading. Psychics using numerology will base their analysis on various numbers derived from the name and birth date of the individual, as well as other significant numbers relating to their life/ situation. An astrology based session will involve the individuals birth date and time, as well as zodiacal signs, planetary positions and relations as well as various other aspects to determine past, present and possible future events.

Reading a person's palm involves analysing, evaluating and interpreting every line, curve and mound on both palms of an individual in relation to significant periods of his/ her life.
A medium will use their ability to tune into the afterlife in order to receive or pass on messages and/ or answers for the enquiring individual. He or she will pass these messages/ answers on without attempting to interpret or influence them in any way. Past life readings, usually only done if a person has problems which appear to be caused by past life experiences or traumas, involve the individual being either retro ceded or hypnotised in order to unravel the mystery and aid them to overcome the problem.

Whichever method is chosen, the advice or messages will be given to the individual in a caring and sensitive manner. A good psychic will also explain to the individual that any events or developments predicted are merely possible outcomes and are subject to the individual's will. Therefore it is possible for them to be changed or avoided altogether (if necessary) through a change of attitude, behaviour, actions and/ or reactions.
